COSTA RICA IS THE NUMBER ONE MOST EXPENSIVE COUNTRY IN ALL OF LATIN AMERICA TO LIVE TODAY. 2011
ANYONE WHO SAYS COSTA RICA IS CHEAP TO LIVE, IS A LYING SENILE FEEBLE MINDED IGNORANT FOOL WHO BELONGS IN A NURSING HOME IN MEXICO OR HONDURUS FOR THE SENILE.

One more important area is that if you are an elderly person, travel insurance regarding pensioners is something you ought to really think about. The more mature you are, the more at risk you might be for allowing something negative happen to you while in foreign countries. If you are never covered by a few comprehensive insurance, you could have a few serious difficulties. Thanks for revealing your advice on this web blog.

I have lived on an Island close to Cuba for 30 years. I have been there and it is a wonderful place to visit, nice friendly people beautiful country, but that is all--Cuba, as well as were I live is in the hurricane belt. It is not fun spending 6 months out of the year getting ready for a cat 4 or 5 hurricane, and thats what we have been getting recently.

Please tell me where these affordable places are. I hoped to retire back home after having to move to Ontario 12years ago but I do not see any affordable housing. Let's not forget the cost of groceries seems to be so much higher, there are not the walk-in clinics that we have in ontario which are a godsend since it takes forever to get into your Dr. The traveling anywhere check the length of time to drive let alone the cost of flights. Don't get me wrong I love Nova Scotia it is the best but for the average person leaving the workforce i don't see it being affordable. Even undesirable areas are extremely expensive.

To retire in Malaysia, one needs to invest US$150,000.00 to qualify. Suggest to visit the government web site to get more information before preceding. The article write up is correct. Very inexpensive accommodation and transportation.

Cuba? What are you on. Raikld roads are awful; roads are deterioraing, public transpoirtation stinks, you can't own your house (its owned by the government)
. Basic needs ARE NOT met, for the people live under constant rationing of even the most basic foods stuf. our knowledge of the racial compostion of the island, about 60 mullatoes, 25 % black and 15 % white is abysmal. Education is NOT FREE for unless you belong to the Communist Party, you can not attend college. In addtion, paid is so poor that doctors and engineers double as taxi cab drivers and mechanics to earn a better living. In addition you might find yourself being followed by the secret police is youdo anything the government considers unlwaful, like express a political opinion or maybe watch an American movie. Would YOU want to live there?

I vacation in Mazatlan. Have since '95. You can buy a place there fairly reasonable. The taxes are cheap. I would not purchace on the beach. very expensive. Townhome or villa off the beach with beach access is ok. You can only own this property for 99 years.

Not sure where this person got their information but its totally wrong. Property is not cheap and the cost of living is far higher than many other Canadian areas. True-it is pretty but has less to offer than more developed provinces. As for Boston being 2 hours away-hah! It is a 2hr flight but a 2 day drive! When it comes to stargazing(Nicholson, Moore), best stick to those in the sky.
